very raer collector hockey card?

i am an avid hockey card colector via store bought packs…its been about 10 years since i have checked up on my collection but one subject has been particularly hard to find through pricing guides. according to pricing guides this card does not even exist, and my research has been extensive…please i need help to find info on such…here it goes, ’97-98′ omega nhl hockey cards inaugural issue from PACIFIC TRADING CARDS. its a wayne gretzky silk card #8….stated odds in finding a silk (let alone a wayner) is 1:73. cannot find any info on such cards or series in pricing world of hockey cards yet i know im sitting on a fricken really rare gem here…i am hoping anyone can have any information about it or its worth . ty

You most likely wont find a price on that card because it is to rare. I know i was once looking through my dads old collection of baseball cards and found a Nolan Ryan rookie card numbered one out of ten. I asked around and everyone said that super rare cards like that one and probably yours to are just not worth putting in pricing guides because virtually nobody even knows about that card. The only way to find out how much it is worth is to put it up for auction.

How much does this hockey card book for in Beckett?

RICK NASH 04-05 UD Ultimate Auto Patch…the last time I had a Beckett it was valued at $300 and I’m just wondering what it’s worth now. Thanks in advance

Beckett value is kind of irrelevent-Beckett over-inflates everything-especially since they started dealing in cards themselves…tracking one like it on ebay would give you a better idea of the “real world” value…

Purchasing Information To Find The Best Hockey Gear

If you or someone in your family plays hockey, it’s important to have the right equipment. You will need a good pair of skates of course to help you move about the ice with ease but there are many other safety pieces you should consider as well. One of the roughest and fastest sports around, you’ll often see pucks flying around at speeds well over 80 miles per hour. If you are buying hockey equipment these helpful tips may be your saving grace when it comes to getting everything you need.

Helmets and mouth guards are equally important, protecting your teeth and tongue is imperative when you think about impacts that are likely in hockey. The rates that dentists charge these days for repairing a chipped or damaged tooth, it’s astronomical. You may not realize it but a good mouth guard can also help protect your brain and skull from a jarring impact. You can get custom mouth guards that can be molded to your mouth after dropping in boiling water.

It’s very important to consider hockey equipment that protects the legs. Skipping out on shin guards can leave your legs littered with bruises and worse. Socks made for hockey are important to also have in order to adequately cover the shin guards which must fit properly. Hockey tape is an excellent tool for securing all of it. Garters, designed to keep the socks where they belong, are important too. Better efficiency can be achieved by purchasing newer shorts that have the garters in place already. It is often necessary for players who play on teams to wear specific colors when it comes to hockey socks.

Depending on your personal preference you can purchase hockey gear either in a sporting goods store or online. If you know just what you need discount prices can be found online. You can also read reviews of equipment purchased by other consumers. However, it can also be helpful to see certain items yourself or, in the case of skates, to try them on. Where you choose to purchase your equipment will depend on how well you know what you really need, the stores available in your area and how soon you need it. The best thing you can do no matter where you choose to shop is look for the best price for the best quality.

In summary, hockey equipment is an essential part of the game, as it enables you to play your best and keep you safe when skating at high speeds and bumping into other players who are doing their best to block you. Factors that will decide what kind of equipment you’ll ultimately need include the following: size, position, commitment to the game, and age. Keep these great tips in mind as you shop for the hockey player that is near and dear to you.
